  An old friend of mine from Fine Arts college days, Seth, got married on the second day of the new year. Manong Zetty, as I fondly call him to tick him off, met me when I was 15. In our class I was the only female student, from a small town, from a geeky science school. Him, and two more classmates sort of took me under their wing, and taught me many life lessons. How to hold down my alcohol, haha, how boys are after only one thing, and how to out-drink even the most hardcore of drinking buddies! Leather, Embroidery & Suede

Oh how we love the materiality of material! Super excited to be launching our first venture into the world of leather bags! Lucky to find buttery Sheepskin leather and supple Calfskin from our local suppliers. The embroidery on these hard, round bags is our muse, Lady Tentacles, sitting on her lonely throne, the giant skull with flower petals streaming from its eyes. Inside it is lined with suede and our new metal labels that we are so proud of! The Lady Tentacles bag comes in 4 colours. Black and Burnt Orange Calfskin, and, Midnight Blue and Grey Sheepskin. Thanks for all the love we’ve been getting for the new collection! A little background on the inspiration behind S/S 2015: Sweet Treachery. It was inspired by the summer spent in Italy. I went to an underground cemetery of skulls in Napoli, Cimitero Delle Fontanelle. People would “adopt” a skull, house them in a nice glass case, or a little skull-sized home, and care for the skulls and the souls that used to belong to them, or pray to the skulls for some guidance… in love mostly.
