Surge of Hope: A Clothing Exhibit & Fashion Show

July 12, 2015, SM Savemore Tacloban City.

Fashion designer and Tacloban-born Tipay Caintic presents her artisanal collection, Surge of Hope inspired by Typhoon Haiyan. Debuted at the London Fashion Week SS 2014 at the International Fashion Showcase (IFS) she finally takes her avant garde pieces home, to the place where it all began.

The collection originally entitled “Hell Knows No Wrath Like Yolanda” narrates the collective experiences of the people of Tacloban during the terrible super typhoon and its aftermath. The new title signifies a change of mindset and the current situation we are in.

We would like to acknowledge our partners and sponsors who supported the exhibit & fashion show and the Livelihood Project that we embarked on right after. A special shout out to the office of Ms. Millie Dizon, Senior VP for Marketing & Communications of SM and Ms. Jamie Meneses, a member of her staff for the full on support! We couldn’t have done it without you!

Thank you to all the friends and family who helped us make the event a success! We are forever grateful and humbled by the collective efforts of everybody! To the people who came out to watch, we hope we inspired you in some way.
